How does Xeomin work?

Xeomin is also known as “naked Botox” due to its double-filtered formula that removes unnecessary proteins through a proprietary process called XTRACT Technology™. The active ingredient contains only what is needed to smooth and soften frown lines. The prescription medication is injected into the targeted muscles in the forehead, reducing their contractions. The result is smooth, toned, youthful skin.

Xeomin can work in combination with other medspa treatments. By combining neurotoxins and dermal fillers, we can address multiple areas of concern simultaneously, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead while restoring lost volume.

What do I need to know before my Xeomin procedure?

Like many other cosmetic procedures, it is important to find an experienced provider as this will make all the difference when it comes to safely achieve your desired results.

Typically, appointments take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. Please avoid consuming alcohol and taking any blood thinners 24-48 hours before and after the treatment.

What do I need to know after my Xeomin procedure?

Xeomin injections do not require recovery time. However, there are steps you can take to ensure the best outcome. We recommended avoiding the treated area for at least three hours post-treatment and strenuous exercise for at least six hours.

How long does Xeomin last?

You may begin to see results as soon as 3-4 days post-treatment with maximum effects seen at 30 days. In clinical trials, results lasted approximately three months but may last significantly longer or shorter in individual patients.

This is a common concern among clients considering an anti-aging injectable. Your provider will review your goals and have a detailed conversation with you during a complimentary consultation. Your provider will then develop a treatment plan to achieve your desired outcome, whether it is a more natural look or a “frozen” look, there are steps they can take to ensure your goals are met.

How do I know if I am a candidate?

If you have moderate to severe facial wrinkles in the forehead area, Xeomin or another neurotoxin procedure may be the right treatment option for you. If you have had an allergic reaction to a botulinum toxin product or have a skin infection at the planned injection site, you may not be a candidate.

Are there any side effects?
