Microneedling – Collagen Induction Therapy NYC

Conveniently located to serve New York City, Tribeca, and The Upper East Side

Microneedling has become an increasingly popular cosmetic procedure and we understand why. It is safe for all skin types and consistently delivers superior clinical results to stimulate cell renewal and promote collagen and elastin production. In turn, skin laxity, scars, fine lines and wrinkles can be greatly diminished with minimal downtime.

At Tribeca MedSpa, we deliver Microneedling with Morpheus8 technology from InMode. It is the newest generation of microneedling technology that takes the results of traditional microneedling up a level with radio frequency energy, which will not only help with skin tone and texture, but will also address sagging skin on the face, neck, hands and body.

FAQ

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a cosmetic treatment used to address various skin conditions. The technique involves using a pen-like device comprised of micro sterile needles on the skin. When pressed on to the skin, it creates controlled, microscopic injuries, which stimulates collagen. While the micro-channels are open, a Microneedling solution is topically applied and pushed into the skin to further promote healing and enhance the anti-aging benefits.

Morpheus8 is unlike any other microneedling treatment. Morpheus8 is different because its needles reach a greater depth of 4mm (opposed to 3mm), allowing it to reach the skin’s foundational structure. Additionally, Morpheus8 includes radiofrequency – the energy that gently heats subdermal adipose tissue for more profound tightening and toning.

What is Morpheus8 treatment technology?

The latest innovative technology in microneedling treatment, Morpheus8 delivers the deepest fractional treatments available, penetrating subdermal tissue up to 7mm. The ability to target tissue sequentially at three levels allows for more dramatic results at a much faster rate. It also minimizes skin injury, increases treatment uniformity, and enables customized full-body fractional procedures.

Morpheus8 treatment is safe on skin types, up to and including VI, with little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) which is a common risk with other resurfacing methods. When performed by a trained and experienced Morpheus8 provider, you can significantly improve skin tone, texture, and tightness, delivering healthy, glowing skin from the inside, and out.

Which areas of the body can a Microneedling treatment be performed?

Morpheus8 is ideal for any areas that have been affected by the natural aging process, overexposure to the sun or existing skin conditions. Treatable areas include the face, neck, décolletage, arms, abdomen, knees, chin, and any areas that have stretch marks or post-surgical scarring, although the most requested areas are face, neck, décolletage and hands. Due to the small Microneedling tip, we find it especially beneficial for small areas around the eyes and lips to help with crepiness, dark circles and smoker’s lines. Stretch marks and surgical scars on the body can also be diminished with Morpheus8 Microneedling.

What solutions are used during the treatment?

We use a growth factor and cytokine solution formulated with a hyaluronic abase. No harmful ingredients such as parabens, sulfates and dyes are used as seen in other microneedling solutions.

How is Morpheus8 treatment performed?

During a Morpheus8 treatment, your medical provider applies a topical anesthetic to decrease the sensation of the microneedles and radiofrequency penetration. The provider will then use the tip of a handheld applicator that houses several microneedles, powered with radiofrequency. When the applicator is pressed against the skin for a few seconds, energy is inserted through the needles. Think of the motion like a stamping technique, rather than one continuous movement across the treatment area.

Are Morpheus8 RF Microneedling treatments safe?

Morpheus8 is FDA-approved as a subdermal adipose remodeling device (SAND) to fractionally remodel and re-contour the face and body. Safely penetrating deep into the skin and fat, the Morpheus8 device sculpts the face and body for a smoother, sleeker and younger appearance.

What solutions are applied after the treatment?

After the procedure, your provider will apply specific post-procedure serums and hydrating products to protect and heal the skin.

Incorporating PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) – your own blood plasma – is another great option to add to Microneedling. The combination dramatically magnifies the rejuvenating effects of Microneedling with no risks related to rejection, allergies or other negative side effects of harsh chemicals.

What is Microneedling with Morpheus8 recovery like?

Microneedling treatment is non-invasive, generally painless, and is performed quickly with a quick recovery time. Immediately after the treatment, the skin will feel like a sunburn, which will dissipate after a few hours. Over the next 2-3 days, some swelling, redness, and dryness is normal. Some people may also experience light flaking as the cells are turning over. The downtime depends on how aggressive the treatment settings are.

We recommend that clients keep their skin well-hydrated and protected with a physical sunscreen. Clients may resume their normal skincare regimen, including any Retin-A, once their skin is back to baseline.

How many Morpheus8 treatments are needed to see results?

Regardless of your concerns, we recommend starting with a minimum of 3 sessions. For best results sessions are spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Learn more about Morpheus8 pricing at Tribeca MedSpa here.

What we love about Morpheus8 is that almost anyone is a candidate for this treatment!
