FAQs About Moxi & BBL Treatments
What is MOXI?
The Moxi treatment is a breakthrough in skincare that has taken the beauty world by storm. This non-invasive procedure is designed to treat the visible signs of aging and produce evenly toned, radiant skin. With its non-ablative, targeted, fractionated 1927 nm wavelength, Moxi takes advantage of the inherent power of water within cells, seamlessly harmonizing with your body’s natural healing processes. This cutting-edge technology is safe for all skin types and provides a gentle and transformative experience, leaving you with astonishing results and minimal downtime. Radiant skin can be achieved in as little as a single treatment, however, we highly recommend 2-4 for optimal results.
What is BBL?
BBL (broad-band light) is a non-ablative laser that is used to treat a variety of skin concerns and versatile enough to reach many different layers of the skin. Rooted in cutting-edge science and boasting an impressive track record of stunning before and after transformations, this award-winning treatment is poised to redefine your perception of skincare excellence. Designed to combat the effects of aging skin, BBL HERO stands as a powerful solution in the fight against rosacea, acne, melasma, and sun spots. Indulge in the comfort of this remarkable treatment as it effortlessly unveils a more radiant and youthful complexion, all while requiring little to no downtime. BBL can work as a corrective treatment or be done in session to encourage and maintain long-term rejuvenation.
Why use MOXI and BBL together?
Who is a good candidate for MOXI and BBL?
Anyone who has healthy skin and wants to treat and improve conditions such as acne, sun spots, age spots, freckles or other discoloration can benefit from a BBL treatment. Moxi is great for textural concerns, superficial sun damage, and uneven skin tone. As a ‘prejuvenation treatment’, Moxi is ideal for patients who want to delay the appearance of aging or those looking to maintain beautiful skin with little to no downtime or discomfort.
How is the MOXI and BBL treatment performed?
For any BBL and/or Moxi treatment, your journey begins with an insightful consultation alongside one of our expert clinicians. During this consultation, we will discuss the most suitable procedure for your needs, whether it’s BBL, Moxi, or a combination of both.
On the day of your treatment, we request that you arrive with a clean and makeup-free face, ready to embark on your journey towards radiant, rejuvenated skin. If you have chosen BBL, you’ll seamlessly transition into your treatment. However, if you have opted for Moxi either as a standalone procedure or in conjunction with BBL, our skilled team will begin by applying a numbing cream for your comfort.
During the treatment itself, you may experience a gentle warmth or a sensation reminiscent of a rubber band snap as the energy is expertly delivered. Rest assured, your eyes will be safeguarded by our safety shields or glasses. The Moxi treatment process is simple and efficient, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily routine. During the procedure, a handheld device is gently passed over your skin, emitting a precise wavelength of light that targets specific areas. The treatment itself is virtually painless, with most individuals reporting only a mild warming sensation. Most patients typically find the treatment well-tolerated, but to further enhance your comfort, we offer Pro-Nox (similar to laughing gas one might receive at the dentist) as an option for pain management.
What is Moxi and BBL recovery like?
If you have had the BBL treatment, you will see dark spots begin to become more prominent in this recovery phase, and some clients describe a “coffee ground” appearance. These dark spots will become darker and slough off in about 7-14 days. It is important to allow this process to happen naturally and not to aggravate it, as that can cause hyperpigmentation.
The BBL treatment is only suitable for those with Fitzpatrick Type I-III skin, while the Moxi treatment is available for all skin types, Fitzpatrick I-VI!
How many treatments are needed to see results?
Regardless of your concerns, we recommend starting with a minimum of 3-5 sessions.
For best results sessions are spaced around 4 weeks apart.
