Comprehensive Metrics
VISIA® Skin Analysis is not just a tool; it’s your skin’s best friend. After taking a series of high-quality photos, it delves deep into eight crucial skincare parameters:
- Spots: Brown or red marks that are visible to the naked eye.
- Brown Spots: Pinpointing pigmentation irregularities such as sunspots or age spots that lie beneath the surface of the skin.
- Wrinkles: Analyzing fine lines and wrinkles associated with sun exposure and a decrease in elasticity, providing insights for targeted treatments.
- Texture: Assessing raised and depressed areas to tailor skincare routines.
- Pore Size: Determining pore size, crucial for managing acne and refining pores.
- UV Damage: Highlighting sun damage present below the skin’s surface, guiding in the prevention and reversal of photodamage.
- Red Areas or Vascularities: Detecting redness or inflammation, aiding in the management of conditions like rosacea.

How to Prepare
The VISIA® consultation is a very simple process – with no preparation needed! After arriving for your appointment, you’ll be asked to cleanse your face, so it’s best to arrive without makeup on. You will also want to remove any jewelry from the neck up. Then, you will place your head inside of the scanner, against the chin and forehead rest. The VISIA® then rotates around and captures images from all angles.
How it Works
After taking the photos, VISIA® will automatically analyze the 8 areas of concern and show you results in real-time. You can view these results with your medical provider and can also have them emailed or printed to take home with you. The scanner uses IntelliFlash®, cross-polarized and UV light to measure surface and subsurface skin conditions. Your analysis will also include percentile scores to compare your skin to others of the same age and skin type, a TruSkin Age assessment to determine overall condition, and a list of custom recommendations for both treatments and products.
