Plasma Fibroblast NYC
Conveniently located to serve New York City, Tribeca, and The Upper East Side
Reimagining cosmetic surgery, Plasma Fibroblast is the kinder, non-invasive, and highly effective alternative sweeping the beauty industry. A Plasma Pen sends finely guided electrostatic pulses, creating an electrical arc that instantly shrinks targeted skin. The process stimulates the body’s own regeneration of fibroblasts, in turn, spiking collagen production while tightening the skin. The handheld pen can treat a wide range of areas and concerns, from the face, neck, and belly wrinkles; to stretch marks and scars; to raised or flat skin tags, milia (white bumps with dead cells that are trapped beneath the epidermis), moles, and age spots. Your skin will look tighter immediately, and you will continue to see significant results over the course of several weeks as your skin heals.*
FAQ
How does Plasma Fibroblast Pen work?
The Plasma Fibroblast Pen is an effective non-invasive treatment for diminishing the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin, acne scars and more. Like microneedling and laser resurfacing, the Plasma Fibroblast Pen uses your body’s natural healing process to increase collagen and elastin production. The Plasma Fibroblast Pen uses a pen-like device to glide directly above, but not touch, the skin to produce micro-electrical discharges. The tip of the pen contains nitrogen plasma which discharges to the epidermis and dermis skin layer. The heat and cool generated from the micro-electrical discharges create microscopic skin damage to the skin’s surface. This creates a ‘carbon crust’ on the surface of your skin, triggering the repair process in the fibroblast cells. Fibroblast cells are found in connective tissue where the body’s collagen production takes place.
Collagen makes up 80% of your skin’s structure and provides the building blocks that are responsible for keeping the skin firm and taut. During the skin’s repair process, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, resulting in a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.
How long does the Plasma Fibroblast Pen procedure take and is it painful?
The treatment time varies with what your goals are but can take one to four hours. Around 30 minutes is necessary before the procedure for a numbing cream to be applied and take effect.
Is it painful?
Some patients experience a heat sensation in the treatment area, equivalent to sunburn discomfort. Scabbing occurs with the healing process and can last an average of five to seven days. Itching is also common as the skin heals.
What should I know before the treatment?
Before undergoing the Plasma Fibroblast Pen treatment, we recommend that you avoid tanning and spray tanning for at least six to eight weeks. Other procedures to the area you are treating should also be avoided for at least three to four weeks, including Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, etc. Patients should also discontinue the use of Retin-A products at least four days before the Plasma Fibroblast Pen treatment.
What should I know after the treatment?
After undergoing the Plasma Fibroblast Pen, we recommend being delicate with the treated area and do not advise you to wash your face for at least 48 hours. After this, only a mild, gentle facial cleanser should be used as to not irritate the skin. Following the treatment, it is important to keep the skin moisturized by applying an ointment for several days and refraining from picking or scratching any scabbing; let your skin naturally heal. You should continue to wear broad-spectrum SPF every day and limit sun exposure until fully healed.
What areas can the Plasma Fibroblast Pen treat?
The Plasma Fibroblast Pen is a versatile treatment that can treat any area of the face, neck and body. It is commonly targeted to treat under eye skin bags, smoker’s lines (or nasolabial folds), crow’s feet, acne scarring, skin tags, sagging neck and more.
How long do results from the Plasma Fibroblast Pen last?
Patients typically begin to see results from the Plasma Fibroblast Pen treatment within the first couple of days after the treatment. Maximum results can take six to eight weeks and will continue for several months after the treatment.
How many Plasma Fibroblast Pen treatments are needed?
The number of Plasma Fibroblast Pen treatments depends on your aesthetic goals and individual needs. Typically, patients may opt for maintenance treatments twelve weeks after the initial Plasma Fibroblast Pen procedure. Plasma Fibroblast Pen can also be combined with other treatments to achieve maximum results, such as Botox, Dysport, chemical peels, dermal filler and more.
Are there are any side effects to the Plasma Fibroblast Pen?
The Plasma Fibroblast Pen treatment is FDA-approved and generally considered a safe procedure when performed by an experienced provider. Side effects are mild and can include redness and swelling of the treated area, hyperpigmentation and skin peeling and scabbing. Side effects will continue to subside as your skin heals.
How do I know if I am a candidate?
The Plasma Fibroblast Pen is recommended for men and women who are experiencing mild to moderate skin concerns. If your goal is to improve the volume, elasticity and tightness of your skin and you are over the age of twenty-one, you may be a good candidate for the Plasma Fibroblast Pen. This procedure is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. The treatment may need to be delayed in the event that you have recently undergone another cosmetic treatment, such as Botox.
In an initial complimentary consultation, you will meet with our expert Medical Staff where we will go over your medical history, talk about your concerns and let you know what type of results you can expect from the Plasma Fibroblast Pen.
